Wasps Spotted at the North Pole!

As you’ll know, at Widnes Wasps, we set ourselves the challenge of running, walking or cycling the 2532 miles to the North Pole, during May.

As a small club this was no mean feat but we’re proud to let you know we made it. In fact we accumulated 3008 miles which meant we could have come back down to the very north tip of Greenland or Alert Bay in British Columbia (quite apt in the current circumstances).

We started running in the beautiful sunshine of Widnes but it soon began to get colder the further north we travelled. We had to make sure that we were all wrapped up before we got there and faced a blizzard or two.

A bit too cold to run in the snow with shorts on.

It was like a winter wonderland when we got there.
